Course Terms and Conditions

General Terms and Conditions

  • Courses and sessions must be booked and paid for in advance of your attendance. If you do not pay the amount listed by the deadline date, we cannot guarantee your place.
  • No refund or transfer of courses is permitted in the event of non-attendance by the customer, regardless of circumstance.
  • If you need to change or amend your booking, a £75 administration fee applies.
  • Coronavirus: if you cannot attend due to symptoms of COVID-19, no refund or course transfer is guaranteed.
  • There are no credits or refunds for missed courses
  • Please inform us in writing if you suffer from a prolonged injury or illness. Where possible, we will accommodate for course transfers. If a large portion of a course is missed, we may require an administrative top-up fee.
  • On occasion, it may be necessary for us to change tutor or arrange a substitute.
  • By agreeing to our terms and conditions, you recognise that you must have all course pre-requisites completed by the listed course start date. No refund is permitted if you fail to meet this requirement and course transfers are subject to the £75 administrative fee.
  • We reserve the right to cancel courses. In this case, you will be offered a course transfer or refund.
  • If you wish to cancel your booking less than 21 days before the scheduled start date and your space cannot be filled, the full course fee will still be applied. If filled, or you withdraw before the 21-day period, we will retain a £75 administration fee and refund the remaining balance.
  • Once you have booked, you must attend all days at the same venue. If you choose to move to another course (agreed with We Do Tennis), you understand that you remain liable for a £75 administration fee every time a course change occurs.
  • Under no circumstances can you miss parts of the course.
  • (For LTA Assistant, LTA Instructor and LTA Coach) Once you start your course, you must complete the course within 12 months (for Level 1). Within 24 months (for level 2 or 3) of the start date of the course. Failure to do so will result in you having to pay a re-registration fee to complete the course.
  • Learners must be able to communicate effectively in English (listening, speaking, reading and writing) and must be able to understand the requirements of the qualification and the information within the qualification materials in English without assistance.
  • We Do Tennis reserves the right to reject any applicant whom it considers to be an unsuitable person for involvement on its tennis training courses. This right may also be exercised retrospectively if information is brought to our attention, which, if known at the time of the application, would have rendered the learner unsuitable.
  • The falsification of any information in your application and/or the existence of any police record or caution relating to matters considered to be incompatible with certification, constitute circumstances where We Do Tennis reserves the right to withdraw or suspend a learner's qualification.
  • If you have stated in your application that you have asked a third-party to pay all, or part of your course fee on your behalf, you understand that you must provide permission, in writing, from the organisation agreeing to paying your fees. If you fail to do so, you understand that this will result in your application being rejected or delayed. You also understand that you are responsible for ensuring that the third-party pays your course fee by the start of the course, and that if the required fee has not been paid by the start of the course, you may forfeit your place on the course.

Course Assessment from July 2021: What changed?

Since July 1st 2021, the LTA has been responsible for assessments that are required to be undertaken as part of the Coach Qualification Pathway. We have made a number of changes to the assessment process to make it more accessible and relevant in line with the launch of the updated LTA qualifications.

Real life coaching assessments (assessing you in a real-life coaching environment) uploaded to LTA Learn via video are an intrinsic part of the LTA Qualification Pathway. Some of the benefits are:

  • It's a more relevant method of assessment, as it focuses on you in your teaching environment. This means you get specific feedback tailored to your needs and coaching aspirations.
  • Accessibility. There is no need to take an extra day off work or study to attend an assessment. You can fit it into your schedule.
  • Learner-centred assessment approach. It gives you the control to decide when you are ready to submit your video assessment. You have the flexibility to engage with your assessment around your other work and commitments.
  • Enhanced learning. For the first time, you will be able to review and reflect on your final submission before uploading. You get to decide whether you feel your video upload is the best representation of your coaching.
  • A fairer process. The LTA Qualification Assessor can review your video upload multiple times to ensure nothing is missed in the marking of your submission.

Information on Late Submission Fees

The Tutor will set a deadline for submission of portfolio / online learning / video submissions. Failure to meet these deadlines will result in a Late Submission Fee of £75. A late submission fee helps to cover the costs of employing a separate assessor to mark this work.

In the event that you are unsuccessful and believe you have grounds to appeal, you should download and complete the form at the bottom of this page. Follow the instructions within the document to action your appeal.
